Kori Ashton is the founder of MaxCMO and the lead instructor behind our marketing education and enablement programs. With over 25 years of experience in digital strategy, she has served as a Fractional CMO, instructional designer, curriculum developer, and subject matter expert for organizations and universities alike.

Kori holds a Master’s in Technical Communication and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Learning Design & Technology at Johns Hopkins University. Her work blends executive-level marketing leadership with evidence-based instructional design — helping teams understand not just what to do, but why it works.

Whether she’s leading strategy or teaching it, Kori is passionate about building confident, data-savvy marketers who grow with clarity, creativity, and purpose.

What does AI readiness training actually cover?
We focus on practical, strategic applications of AI — not just theory or flashy tools. Topics include how to use AI for content development, customer segmentation, campaign optimization, and internal workflows. We also cover ethics and responsible AI use, so your team adopts it with confidence, not confusion.
Can you develop custom curriculum for our team?
Absolutely. We specialize in creating custom learning experiences using instructional design principles, learner feedback loops, and engaging formats like video-based training, interactive documents, and live working sessions. Your curriculum reflects your brand, your tools, and your team’s real-world needs.

Do you offer certification programs?
While MaxCMO doesn’t currently offer our own certification, our founder, Kori Ashton, teaches inside a nationally recognized AI in Marketing certification program that we proudly recommend. It’s a powerful option for teams looking to build foundational knowledge and apply AI responsibly in real-world marketing environments. We’re happy to guide you through it or even supplement it with custom team-based training.
Can you train multiple departments, not just marketing?
Yes — in fact, we recommend it. Many of our workshops are designed to help teams collaborate across marketing, sales, customer service, and leadership. We tailor sessions to your org’s structure and culture so everyone’s aligned around shared goals.
Do you offer both in-person and virtual training?
We do. Most teams choose virtual for flexibility, but we also offer on-site workshops and hybrid options if your team would benefit from in-person facilitation.
